UPDATE: A 34-year-old woman from San Jose has been arrested for murder following a shocking and fatal hit-and-run incident on Sunday night. The incident occurred just before 7:30 PM at the intersection of Winchester Boulevard and Tisch Way, where authorities report that the collision was an intentional act.
Police responded swiftly to the scene, discovering a woman severely injured in the roadway. Despite immediate medical attention, she was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at a local hospital. The victim’s identity has not yet been released, pending notification of family members by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the collision was deliberate, although investigators continue to probe the motive and circumstances surrounding this tragic event. The suspect, identified as Yanette Beas Solorio, was apprehended approximately two miles away from the scene in Santa Clara. She has been booked into the Santa Clara County Jail without bail, according to jail records.
