LA Times Studios has announced the nomination period for the prestigious 2026 Private Equity and M&A Industry Visionaries. This initiative aims to celebrate influential leaders in the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors, recognizing their substantial contributions to the evolving landscape of private equity and mergers and acquisitions.
The nomination process is open to professionals and organizations that provide funding, strategic guidance, or advisory services to companies engaged in M&A and private equity transactions. This includes private equity and venture capital investors, bankers, lenders, and professional advisors such as lawyers, accountants, and business managers. All nominees must be based in California, with a maximum of three individuals from the same firm eligible for nomination.
Criteria for Nominations
Honorees will be selected by the executive committee of LA Times Studios based on several criteria, including noteworthy achievements over the past 12 to 24 months, a demonstrated track record of leadership, and the long- and short-term impact they have made on their organizations or the industry as a whole. Additionally, community involvement and board memberships that reflect the nominee’s leadership beyond their organization will also be considered.
The selected visionaries will be featured in the August 2026 edition of the Business by LA Times Studios magazine, which will be distributed alongside the Los Angeles Times newspaper. There is no cost associated with nominations, though space is limited, allowing for only three profiles per company to ensure each nominee is adequately showcased.
Submission Process and Timeline
Nominations are encouraged to be submitted early. All nominees must work in California, and submissions are final once made, as LA Times Studios staff will not be able to make corrections or revisions. The information provided is subject to editing by the LA Times Studios team prior to publication, so it is advised not to include confidential or changeable information.
