BREAKING: Sherry Ann Turner, a cherished member of the Colorado community, passed away on October 30, 2025, at the age of 73. Her family confirmed her death occurred in Englewood, Colorado, leaving a legacy of adventure, hard work, and deep connections with loved ones.
Born on January 10, 1952, in Cozad, Nebraska, Sherry was known for her vibrant spirit and zest for life. She graduated from Eustis High School in 1970, where her charm and charisma earned her the title of homecoming queen. Following high school, she pursued her passion for communication, earning a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Nebraska Lincoln.
During her university years, Sherry formed lifelong bonds as a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority and created cherished memories, including an adventurous year in Italy. After college, she relocated to Breckenridge, Colorado, where she began her career on the slopes of Peak 9 and later opened her own jewelry store, Nordica Haus.
Sherry’s career evolved into mortgage lending, ultimately transitioning to Cherry Creek in Denver until her retirement. Her love for the mountains was evident in her passion for skiing, hiking, and spending quality time fishing and boating at local hotspots like Parathyon Point and Gallagher Canyon.
Known for her sociable nature, Sherry frequently hosted gatherings in her backyard, creating a warm environment that brought family and friends together. Her adventurous spirit and unwavering dedication to those she loved defined her life, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.
Sherry is survived by her brothers Doug Turner of Sun City, AZ, and Brad Turner of Eustis, NE. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, including Ryan (Afsoon) Turner of Hillsborough, CA, Melodie (Tracy) Bellamy of Kearney, NE, and many more, along with countless friends who considered her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Erma Turner, her brother Dallas Turner, and her nephew Kelly Turner.
