Ray J Faces Misdemeanor Charges, Loses Christmas with Kids

Ray J has been charged with six misdemeanors following his arrest on Thanksgiving for allegedly brandishing a firearm during a livestream involving his wife, Princess Love. As a consequence, a judge has extended a restraining order that prevents him from seeing his children this Christmas. The charges against him include brandishing a firearm, use of force, and child endangerment, according to reports from AllHipHop.

In a video shared by The Shade Room, Ray J expressed his distress over the situation, stating, “Man, I don’t even want to talk about it. I’m missing my kids. I’m missing Christmas, my son’s birthday.” His son, Epik, is set to turn six years old while the restraining order remains in effect. Following his arrest, Ray J was released on a bail of $50,000.

Despite the serious allegations, Ray J has denied ever pointing a gun at Princess Love. In an interview with TMZ, he asserted, “I would never point a gun at anybody, including Princess Love.” Following these events, Princess Love publicly urged him to seek professional help, stating in a video, “Check yourself into rehab, because you’re more than drunk. You’re not about to sit here and make me look crazy when I am the best mother since the day my kids been born. Everything I do, I do for my kids.”

Ray J and Princess Love were married in 2016 but have faced multiple crises in their relationship over the years. Most recently, Princess Love filed for separation in February 2024. In a separate livestream, Ray J described a tense moment when Princess Love and her cousin attempted to take their children, saying, “This dude is coming in my room. Getting in my bed to take my kids, I’m going to defend my kids and I’m going to defend my space. For my kids, I’m doubling down on that,” while still denying the claims of gun use.

As the legal proceedings continue, the impact on their family dynamics remains significant, particularly as the holiday season approaches. The unfolding situation highlights the complexities of their relationship and the challenges of co-parenting amid legal troubles.
