UPDATE: A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting in West Fort Worth that left one person dead on December 12, 2023. Kareem Hardin was taken into custody by the Fort Worth Police Department’s Intel and Directed Response Units on Tuesday, as confirmed by police statements.
As of this morning, Hardin remains in the Tarrant County jail with no bail set and faces a charge of capital murder by terroristic threat. It is currently unclear if he has legal representation.
The incident unfolded early on December 12 at approximately 4:40 a.m. at an apartment complex located in the 6400 block of Wildwood Circle. According to police reports, Lawrence Homan, 24, had driven a female acquaintance to the location. As Homan was preparing to leave, he was approached by Hardin and another unidentified suspect who attempted to enter his vehicle.
One of the suspects brandished a firearm and shot Homan, who was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The suspects fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
