The Red Bluff Rotary Club has recognized Collin Fletcher, a junior at Red Bluff High School, as its Student of the Month for October 2023. Fletcher was chosen for his exemplary academic performance and positive character traits, highlighting his dedication and contributions to the school community.
Recognition and Achievements
Collin Fletcher has distinguished himself not only as a student but also as an aspiring forensic pathologist and criminologist. His interests span across crime, science, and music, reflecting a multifaceted personality. According to the Rotary Club, his selection was based on both his academic excellence and his commendable conduct.
Leandro Vasquez, a teacher in the Red Bluff math department and a leadership advisor, expressed her satisfaction with the Rotary’s decision. “Collin is a phenomenal student who is respectful, hardworking, and supportive of those around him,” she stated. “He has a natural strength in math and consistently comes prepared, takes thorough notes, and completes his work.”
Vasquez further praised Fletcher’s maturity, noting, “He knows how to advocate for himself when he needs help and does so in a thoughtful, responsible way.” The recognition of Fletcher is not just an acknowledgment of his academic success but also his character, as he contributes positively to the classroom environment every day.
Community Engagement and Future Opportunities
Another Red Bluff educator, Taylor Richardson, echoed similar sentiments regarding Fletcher. “He excels in my class and is a model student for Red Bluff High School,” Richardson remarked. His achievements and demeanor have made a significant impact within the school community, serving as an inspiration to peers and younger students alike.

Students selected for this honor will be accompanied by a faculty advisor to the Rotary meeting, which takes place at the Red Bluff Elks Lodge. The event is scheduled to begin at 11:50 a.m. on the designated date.
Each honored student, along with their parents and faculty advisors, will enjoy lunch hosted by the Rotary Club. In addition to the recognition, students will receive a framed certificate and a monetary award of $100, further supporting their educational pursuits.
