Patricia Doe, aged 60, purchased her winning ticket, number 065230, at Admiral Petroleum #5896, located at 542 N. Wayne Road. Her ticket was drawn as a winner in the drawing held on November 19, 2023.
Doe and her husband opted to buy two tickets after assessing the favorable odds of the Super Raffle game. “My husband and I liked the odds of the Super Raffle game, so we bought two tickets,” Doe explained. The couple did not check their tickets immediately, forgetting that they had even purchased them.
It was only recently that they decided to verify their raffle numbers on the Michigan Lottery website. To their surprise, the first ticket returned a modest win of $100, but the second ticket revealed a much larger fortune of $100,000.
“We took the ticket to the store to double-check it,” she recounted. “But it wasn’t until we went to a Lottery office to have them check it that we believed we really won. It was exhilarating.”
After confirming her win, Doe visited the Michigan Lottery headquarters to claim her prize. With her newfound wealth, she plans to invest in home renovations and save the rest of her winnings for future needs.
