URGENT UPDATE: Over 2,900 Xcel Energy customers are currently without power in Boulder County, particularly affecting areas between Boulder and Louisville. The outage began at 10:05 a.m. today, impacting a total of 2,970 customers across the county.
Of those affected, 530 customers are situated on the eastern edge of Boulder, while a staggering 2,426 customers are left in darkness northwest of Louisville. According to Xcel’s outage map, the utility company anticipates that power will be restored in Louisville by 12:30 p.m. and in Boulder by 11:15 a.m.
As of now, the cause of the outage remains unclear, and it is not yet known if other nearby towns are affected. Residents are advised to check Xcel’s official channels for updates as this situation develops.
