Jerome F. Bartel, a longtime resident of Inver Grove Heights, passed away at the age of 91 on December 31, 2025. His death marks the end of a significant chapter not only in his family’s life but also in the community he cherished.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Judith “Judy” Bartel, with whom he shared 68 years of marriage. Together, they raised a family that includes their children, Susan Carroll and David Bartel, as well as their grandson, Paxton Carroll.
A memorial service is scheduled for January 10, 2026, at Klecatsky & Sons West Chapel in West St. Paul. The service will begin at 11:00 AM, with a gathering two hours prior for friends and family to share their memories and condolences. Following the service, Bartel will be privately entombed at Riverview Cemetery in St. Paul.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Union Gospel Mission in St. Paul, an organization dedicated to serving the homeless and those in need within the community.
The Bartel family expressed their gratitude to the staff at Inver Glen Senior Living and St. Croix Hospice for their compassionate care during this difficult time. Their support was invaluable to both Jerome and his family.
