Former Anchor Bay Superintendent Juliana Texley Passes Away at 76

Juliana Texley, a respected educator and former superintendent of Anchor Bay Schools, died on November 16, 2025, at the age of 76 in Boca Raton, Florida. Texley was a prominent figure in the educational community, known for her dedication to improving local schools and fostering community engagement.

Born on July 24, 1948, in Mount Clemens, Michigan, Texley spent much of her career as a science instructor before taking on the role of superintendent. She served as the head of Anchor Bay Schools for a decade, during which she spearheaded numerous initiatives aimed at enhancing educational facilities and resources for students.

A Lifelong Commitment to Education and Community

Texley’s impact extended beyond her administrative role; she was a founding donor of the Anchor Bay Community Foundation, playing a crucial role in establishing its endowment fund. Her commitment to the community and education left a lasting legacy that will be remembered by many.

She is survived by her sons, Gary and Eric, and was predeceased by her husband, Gary Lee Texley. The family has announced a memorial visitation scheduled for January 15, 2026, from 18:00 to 20:00 at Wasik Funeral Home, Inc., located at 35259 23 Mile Road, New Baltimore, Michigan.

Under Juliana’s leadership, the Aquatic Center, a new high school, and I believe three elementary schools were built. She will be missed.”
