The results reflect a solid performance across both the A-Team and B-Team categories, propelling the Mustangs into the upcoming week with renewed momentum.
Strong A-Team Performance
In the A-Team competition, the Iola Mustangs emerged victorious with a decisive score of 35-22. Key players contributed significantly to the win, with Cade Curry leading the charge by scoring 17 points. Other contributors included Milo Franklin with 8 points and Jaxon Mueller who added 6 points. With this victory, the A-Team improved their record to 3-1 for the season.
In the B-Team matchup, the Mustangs continued their winning streak, defeating the Prairie View team 41-19. Chance Conley was instrumental in the victory, leading the team with 9 points, while teammates Corbin Coffield and Kaiden Jones contributed equally with 8 points each. This win brought the B-Team’s record to an impressive 3-0.
Seventh-Grade Highlights
The seventh-grade A-Team also put forth a commendable effort, winning their game 35-25.
