Kwik Star officially opened its newest location in Knoxville, Iowa, on January 8, 2024, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by President and CEO Scott Zietlow. The event marked a significant addition to the community, featuring a range of services and products designed to meet local needs.
New Store Offers Diverse Products and Services
The new Kwik Star store boasts an extensive selection of hot food, grocery items, fresh produce, and bakery goods. It also includes twenty fueling stations and a car wash, enhancing convenience for customers. During the opening, Zietlow emphasized the company’s commitment to quality and variety, stating, “We carry national brands for sure but we have many of our own brands.”
Zietlow highlighted the advantages of vertical integration within their supply chain. “With all the production that we do, that makes a huge difference for us being able to have control of our own delivery system,” he explained. This approach allows Kwik Star to maintain high standards and provide reliable service, which Zietlow noted is not common in the industry where many companies rely on third-party delivery services.
Supporting the Community
In addition to the store opening, Kwik Star made a notable contribution to public safety in Knoxville by donating $1,000 each to the Knoxville Fire Department and the Knoxville Police Department. This gesture reflects the company’s commitment to supporting local initiatives and fostering strong community ties.
