Boston Woman Admits to Faking ‘Vabbing’ for Attention on TV

Cassy, a woman from Boston, recently revealed that she fabricated her claims about practicing “vabbing” to gain attention and attract potential partners. On the reality show My Strange Addiction, she stated that she applied her own vaginal fluids to her neck as a natural perfume, claiming to do this as often as 50 times a day. However, she has since confessed that her real struggle was with alcohol addiction, not vabbing.

In a candid video shared on YouTube, Cassy expressed her feelings of loneliness and unhappiness, saying, “I was drinking a lot. I was eating a lot of processed food and I was just genuinely unhappy and lonely.” Her initial application to various dating shows had been rejected, which left her feeling discouraged. She believed that her lack of attractiveness was the reason she did not make the cut.

Desperate to find a relationship, Cassy discovered the trending concept of vabbing and thought it could be her ticket to television exposure. “At that time, I was really desperate to find a boyfriend,” she explained. “And I thought, if I expose myself, if I put myself on TV, that will increase my chances of finding a relationship.”

Since the airing of her episode, Cassy claims that she has been on numerous dates, actively using around a dozen dating apps. She reported receiving over 1,000 messages from interested individuals, leading to a variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner dates. “Hopefully I can find ‘the one,'” she added, reflecting on her new dating life.

Despite the controversy surrounding her vabbing claims, Cassy insists that this was the only lie she told on the show. Interestingly, she also mentioned that she does not feel embarrassed about her actions due to her diagnosis of alexithymia, a condition that affects emotional awareness. This raises questions about her statements, as such a condition typically impacts one’s ability to express feelings, potentially leading to feelings of shame.

While Cassy navigates her newfound attention, her story serves as a reminder of the lengths some individuals might go to in search of connection and validation. The reality of her situation underscores the complexities of mental health and the human desire for companionship.
