Rochester Warriors Triumph at Evergreen League Tournament

The Rochester bowling team celebrated a significant achievement by winning the Evergreen League Tournament, solidifying their status as the 1A/2A/3A Evergreen Conference League Champions. This victory followed a successful regular season, with the Warriors finishing the tournament with a remarkable total of 3,000 pins, placing them 118 points ahead of second-place W.F. West and 150 points in front of third-place Centralia.

Talented bowler Natalie Southard led the team and earned individual honors by scoring a school record of 235 in her final game, culminating in a series score of 601. Southard’s exceptional performance not only highlighted her skill but also contributed significantly to the team’s overall success.

In the individual rankings, Centralia’s Lily Guerrero secured second place with a total score of 507, while W.F. West’s Kenley Fragner rounded out the top three with a score of 496. The Rochester team showcased depth in talent, with Ava Clouse achieving a high game of 194 to finish sixth and Lilly Richter contributing a high game of 185 while securing twelfth place.

Looking Ahead to District Championships

Following their tournament victory, the Rochester Warriors, alongside the Tigers of W.F. West and the Bearcats from Centralia, are set to compete in the upcoming District 4 Championships. This highly anticipated event is scheduled for March 15, 2024, at the Triangle Bowl in Longview. The teams will aim to build upon their recent successes and continue their strong performances on the bowling lanes.
