The Ironton community is mourning the loss of local resident Grant Burlin “Bird” Barcus, who passed away at his home on January 30, 2026, at the age of 73. Barcus, known for his warmth and dedication to family, is survived by his wife, Joyce (Maloney) Barcus.
Funeral arrangements have been made for Tuesday, February 3, 20261 p.m. The service will take place at Phillips Funeral Home, located at 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton. Bro. Tim Maddy will officiate the ceremony, providing a comforting presence for those gathered to pay their respects.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. This gathering offers an opportunity for friends and family to share memories and express their condolences.
