The Florida Institute of Technology will host a significant public lecture featuring Maj. Gen. Timothy Sejba on February 19, 2024. The event is part of the F. Alan Smith Distinguished Lecture Series and will take place at the Gleason Performing Arts Center in Melbourne, Florida.
Maj. Gen. Sejba, who previously commanded the Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM) and currently serves as the Special Assistant to the Vice Chief of Space Operations, will discuss “Three Waves of Space Force-Led Innovation: Transportation To, In, and From Space.” This lecture aims to illuminate the U.S. Space Force’s role in advancing capabilities crucial for national security, commercial spaceflight, and scientific progress.
The public is encouraged to attend this free event, which is scheduled to run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.. Although admission is free, attendees are asked to register online to secure their spots. The discussion will be followed by a question-and-answer session, providing an opportunity for community members to engage directly with one of the leaders of the Space Force.
