Huawei and GAC Launch Porsche-Style Aistaland GT7 EV Loaded with Advanced Tech

Huawei and GAC have just revealed the Aistaland GT7, a new electric vehicle that mirrors the Porsche Panamera’s iconic design while packing groundbreaking tech from Huawei. Launching soon in China, this EV merges luxury aesthetics with advanced smart features, signaling a bold step in the competitive electric vehicle market.

The Aistaland GT7, short for “AI Start New Land,” made its debut at the Beijing Auto Show, drawing attention for its striking resemblance to Porsche’s Panamera, right down to its dimensions. With a length of 5050mm, width of 1980mm, and height of 1470mm, it matches Porsche’s signature model closely, offering a similar wheelbase of 3000mm. The vehicle also comes with an 800-volt architecture and active suspension to enhance driving dynamics.

This new EV is the product of a joint venture between Chinese automaker GAC and tech powerhouse Huawei. Huawei’s technology takes center stage, incorporating intelligent Xpixel headlights capable of projecting road warnings akin to advanced Mercedes systems, alongside a powerful high-definition Lidar scanner featuring 896 lines—far superior to the average 192-line setups common among other brands.

The Lidar system can detect objects as small as 14cm from 122 meters away in low-light conditions, a massive leap forward in night-time driving safety and driver assistance capabilities. This innovation positions the Aistaland GT7 as one of the most technologically sophisticated electric vehicles to emerge from China.

Powertrain options include a dual-motor all-wheel drive for the battery electric vehicle (BEV) version, and a range extender (REX) variant, which remains popular in China. The range extender places the engine above the front axle, per reports from CAR magazine. Battery cells come from China’s leading supplier CATL, ensuring reliable and efficient energy storage.

The vehicle is expected to hit the Chinese market in about a month but currently offers no details on international availability. Curtis Moldrich, Digital Editor at CAR magazine, noted the importance of Huawei’s contributions in online strategy and technology integration, emphasizing the Aistaland GT7’s role in showcasing next-generation EV capabilities.

This launch is a significant development for the EV sector, especially as American consumers watch how Chinese automakers leverage tech giants to disrupt the global automotive landscape. Huawei’s in-house advances in Lidar and intelligent lighting could set new standards for safety and smart vehicle features worldwide.

While no U.S. release date is announced, the Panamera-inspired design and technology make the Aistaland GT7 a model worth watching for Ohio drivers interested in the latest EV innovations and smart vehicle safety technologies.

The next steps will focus on how GAC and Huawei plan to expand sales and whether this tech-savvy EV can capture interest beyond China’s borders. As companies like Tesla and Volkswagen continue their U.S. push, Huawei’s new entry could spice up the competition with cutting-edge features and striking style inspired by one of Europe’s most prestigious automakers.
