Man Arrested with Stolen Rifle After Shootout in Enfield, N.C.

UPDATE: A man was arrested with a stolen rifle following a dramatic shootout in Enfield, North Carolina, on Saturday night. The incident unfolded around 9:25 p.m. at Big Moes #2 gas station, sending shockwaves through the Halifax County community.
Witnesses reported hearing gunfire as officers from the Enfield Police Department, including Police Chief Jerry Shoemaker, were patrolling the area. As the officers responded to the commotion, they spotted a man fleeing from a white vehicle riddled with bullet holes.
One officer gave chase and successfully apprehended the suspect, identified as Terrence A. Richardson, 22, of Enfield. During the pursuit, police recovered a stolen Palmetto PA-15 rifle, highlighting the seriousness of the situation.
