Oakland Police Identify Victim in Fatal Shooting, No Arrests Made
UPDATE: Oakland police have identified a 29-year-old woman killed in a shooting on September 22, 2023. The victim, Carla Lee, was shot around 6:10 p.m. on the 1400 block of 87th Avenue, and tragically succumbed to her injuries before emergency responders could transport her to a hospital.
Authorities have not announced any arrests in this urgent case and have yet to disclose a suspected motive or whether Lee was the intended target. Family members revealed to KTVU that Lee was picking up a relative when she was fatally shot, adding a heart-wrenching layer to this already devastating incident.
