New Hampshire Honors Leaders at 2025 Business Awards Ceremony
The Business and Industry Association celebrated its 2025 Lifetime Achievement and New Hampshire Advantage awards during the 112th annual Dinner and Awards Celebration on October 22, 2025. The event, sponsored by Eversource, took place at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Manchester, gathering nearly 700 influential leaders from New Hampshire’s business, political, and community sectors.
Lifetime Achievement Awards Recognize Community Leaders
The Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented to three distinguished recipients: retiring United States Senator Jeanne Shaheen, Tim Sink, the outgoing president and CEO of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, and Alexander Walker, the former president and CEO of Catholic Medical Center. This award honors individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to their professions and communities.
Senator Shaheen has made history as the first woman in the United States to be elected both governor and U.S. senator. Over her more than three decades in public service, she has been a tireless advocate for New Hampshire, focusing on economic growth, healthcare access, veterans’ support, and environmental protection.
Tim Sink has played a pivotal role in strengthening the local business landscape in New Hampshire for over thirty years. As the longest-serving chamber executive in the state, he has fostered economic growth and advocated for initiatives that enhance the vibrancy of Concord and the Capital Region.
Alexander Walker has been a significant figure in New Hampshire’s healthcare and nonprofit sectors. His leadership journey at Catholic Medical Center and prior role at Devine Millimet, a leading law firm, has showcased his commitment to community service. Walker’s involvement extends to various civic and educational boards, including Granite United Way and the University System of New Hampshire.
Swim With A Mission Receives NH Advantage Award
This year’s New Hampshire Advantage Award was bestowed upon Swim With A Mission, an organization dedicated to honoring and supporting veterans, service members, and their families. Founded in 2017, the organization has successfully raised millions through community events, including an annual open-water swim at Newfound Lake and Navy SEAL demonstrations.
Under the leadership of founders Phil and Julie Taub, along with a dedicated network of volunteers, Swim With A Mission has made a substantial impact by providing critical resources such as housing, healthcare, service dogs, job training, and mental health support to veteran service organizations.
The awards ceremony stands as a testament to the enduring commitment of these leaders and organizations in enhancing the quality of life in New Hampshire. Their contributions not only shape their communities but also inspire future generations to engage in civic leadership and service.
