St. James Church Prepares for Annual Bazaar to Support Community

The St. James Independent Methodist Church in Palatka is gearing up for its annual fall bazaar, scheduled for November 7–8, 2023. This two-day event promises to be a vibrant gathering, featuring a variety of handmade crafts, books, and household items, all of which have been sorted and priced by dedicated church members.

Among those preparing for the event is Gayle Branham, a member of the church, who stands next to a display of items that will be available for purchase. The bazaar will include not just crafts but also an array of baked goods, plants, quilts, toys, and a much-anticipated fried chicken dinner on Friday evening. Proceeds from the dinner will directly benefit local community outreach programs.

The annual bazaar serves as both a fundraising effort and a community-building occasion. It offers residents an opportunity to find unique, homemade treats and handcrafted gifts while fostering fellowship among attendees. The church has a long-standing tradition of hosting this event, which attracts shoppers looking for quality items and a chance to connect with neighbors.

As the event approaches, preparations are underway to ensure a successful turnout. Members of the church community are enthusiastic about the bazaar’s potential to support their outreach initiatives, which aim to assist those in need within the local area.

With its rich offering of goods and a spirit of community, the St. James Independent Methodist Church’s fall bazaar is set to become a highlight of the season for many in Palatka.
