Youth-Only Deer Hunt 2025 Kicks Off in Land Between the Lakes

The Land Between the Lakes area in Tennessee recently hosted the 2025 Youth Hunt, a special deer quota event designed exclusively for children aged 6 to 16. Each young participant was required to be accompanied by a non-hunting adult. This annual hunt aims to engage youth in outdoor activities while promoting wildlife conservation.

Brandon, a local youth hunter, took part in the event and ventured to Neyland for the experience. Joining him were fellow participants Mike Adams and Dayton, who shared the excitement of the hunt. The event not only focused on hunting but also included social activities, such as a charcuterie board prepared by Joy McNaughten and featuring a pumpkin-shaped cheese ball created by Shelby Brown.

The event’s organizers, including Chad West and Anthony Landreth, provided insights into the participation numbers for this year’s hunt. They noted that the youth hunt continues to attract a growing number of young hunters, reflecting the program’s success in fostering interest in outdoor sports and environmental stewardship.

As families come together for the Land Between the Lakes Youth Hunt, the atmosphere is filled with a sense of community and shared enjoyment. Participants not only engage in hunting but also build lasting memories through camaraderie and shared experiences in nature.

The combination of hunting, education, and social interaction underscores the event’s goal of nurturing a new generation of responsible hunters. By providing a supportive environment, the Youth Hunt encourages participants to appreciate the outdoors and understand the importance of wildlife conservation.

The 2025 Youth Hunt is a vital initiative that highlights the significance of youth engagement in outdoor activities, ensuring that the next generation of hunters is equipped with the knowledge and skills required for responsible hunting practices.
