Beloved Family Man Joe Lizotte Passes Away at 82, Services Announced

BREAKING: Henry “Joe” Lizotte, Jr., a cherished family man, has passed away at the age of 82, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion. Joe, who was born on September 9, 1943, in Lowell, Massachusetts, died on October 30, 2025. His family announced the news, confirming a life filled with laughter, loyalty, and adventure.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Elaine Lizotte, alongside his three sons—Steven, Jeffrey, and Gregory—each with their wives. He was also a proud grandfather to six grandchildren: Courtney, Dana, Brooke, Jack, Lindsey Yaylaian, and twins Tyler and Emily. His family also includes three great-grandchildren: Grayson, Chloe, and Cecelia.

A native of Lowell’s Little Canada neighborhood, Joe grew up in West Tewksbury. He met Elaine at a house party and married her shortly after graduating from Lowell Trade School in 1962. His greatest pride lay in his sons and their families, who embody the strong values he instilled in them throughout his life.

Joe’s family encourages those wishing to honor his memory to donate to the American Heart Association instead of sending flowers.

Calling hours are scheduled for Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Dracut Funeral Home, located at 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut. A short prayer service will take place at approximately 12:30 PM.
