Trenton’s Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Set for Dec. 5

URGENT UPDATE: Trenton is gearing up for its much-anticipated holiday festivities with the Christmas parade and tree lighting scheduled for December 5, 2024. This year, a stunning 43-foot Norway Spruce, sourced from Pun’kin Hollow Farms in Stockton, NJ, will dazzle residents with over 19,000 LED lights and a breathtaking 48-inch LED star perched atop.

The holiday spirit will kick off at 3:00 PM when the parade departs from City Hall, traversing all four wards of Trenton. Featuring carolers, festive floats, and gifts from Mr. and Mrs. Claus, the parade promises to spread joy and cheer throughout the city.

For families who miss the parade, the festivities continue at City Hall at 5:00 PM with musical and dance performances, remarks from the Mayor and city officials, and a warming station offering hot chocolate and cookies.

Once the parade reaches City Hall, Santa and Mrs. Claus will join the Mayor to light the tree, marking a moment of joy for the community. Afterward, gifts will be distributed to children, ensuring that the holiday magic touches every young heart in attendance. Families will also have the opportunity to take photos with Santa in City Hall’s atrium, creating lasting memories.

The City of Trenton has a long-standing tradition of celebrating the holiday season, and this year is no exception. With the excitement building, residents are encouraged to participate and experience the warmth of the community.
