A national restaurant chain known for its unique “taco teasers” and vibrant orange margaritas has officially opened its first location in Maryland. Bartaco, which operates in 14 states across the United States, debuted its new establishment at the Pike & Rose shopping center, located at 950 Rose Ave., in North Bethesda.
In a recent Facebook post, Bartaco expressed gratitude for the community’s warm reception, stating, “North Bethesda, thanks for the warm welcome – we’re stoked to be here.” The restaurant’s design features an open-air patio and floor-to-ceiling windows, creating an inviting atmosphere for diners. The establishment aims to be a go-to spot for “long sunny lunches, post-shopping margs, and buzzing Maryland nights.”
Local Flavors and Exclusive Menu Items
The North Bethesda location promises to showcase a selection of exclusive menu items that highlight local flavors. Notable offerings include a taco featuring buttermilk-marinated, cornmeal-crusted blue crab paired with cornichon remoulade. Additionally, the restaurant will serve a variety of beers sourced from nearby breweries, including Silver Branch and Lone Oak Farm.
Bartaco’s menu will also include popular dishes from its other locations, such as carne asada tacos, pork posole, and bowls featuring ahi tuna and crispy rice. The combination of new local specialties and classic favorites aims to cater to both locals and visitors alike.
As Bartaco settles into the vibrant North Bethesda community, the restaurant is poised to attract food enthusiasts eager to experience its unique take on Mexican-inspired cuisine. With its focus on locally sourced ingredients and a lively dining atmosphere, the new establishment is set to become a popular destination for residents in the area.
