Delta Line Expands Leo Drive Family with New High-Performance Models

Delta Line has announced the launch of two new servo drives in its Leo family, enhancing its Brushless DC motor offerings. The new models, the Leo B3800 and Leo B860, are designed to cater to a range of application needs, from high-performance tasks to cost-effective solutions.

Introducing the Leo B3800 and Leo B860

The Leo B3800 is positioned as a high-performance drive, capable of powering some of the most powerful motors in the Delta Line range. It delivers impressive specifications, including a phase current of up to 80 A rms and a peak current of 240 A for two seconds. The drive also offers an output power of up to 3,800 W and operates on a power supply range of 12-60 VDC.

This model is compatible with Delta Line’s most powerful servo motors, including the 100SV, 110SV, and 130SV. Additional features include integrated Safe Torque Off (STO) SIL3/Ple, support for both incremental and absolute encoders, and compatibility with major industrial fieldbus protocols such as CANopen, EtherCAT, Modbus, Profinet, Powerlink, and Ethernet/IP. The design also incorporates several safety protections, including overcurrent, overvoltage, overheating, and short circuit safeguards.

In contrast, the Leo B860 serves as a compact yet efficient alternative within Delta Line’s drive range. It combines a cost-effective approach with higher performance than the previous Leo B1400 model while remaining more affordable than the Gemini series. The B860 features a phase current of up to 18 A rms and a peak current of 54 A for two seconds, with an output power of up to 860 W.

A Comprehensive Solution for Modern Automation

The Leo B860 also operates on a power supply range of 12-60 VDC and includes integrated Safe Torque Off (STO) SIL3/Ple. It supports both incremental and absolute encoders, ensuring versatility for various applications. Its extremely compact design makes it ideal for environments where space is limited.

With the introduction of these two models, Delta Line expands its portfolio of intelligent drives, providing solutions that cover a wide range of applications, from intralogistics to robotics and complex industrial machinery. The company’s commitment to delivering safe, scalable, and integrated motion control solutions positions it as a key player in supporting machine builders and system integrators in addressing the challenges of modern automation.
