The 38th Annual Holiday Stroll in West Hartford is set for December 4, 2023, from 17:00 to 20:00 at Blue Back Square and West Hartford Center. This beloved tradition transforms the heart of the town into a winter wonderland, offering a variety of activities for families. Attendees can meet Santa, sample delicious food from local restaurants, and enjoy the community Menorah Lighting. Live performances will take place on three stages, while Victorian carolers spread seasonal cheer throughout the streets.
Whiting Mills’ Holiday Open House
For those seeking unique, handcrafted gifts, the Whiting Mills Holiday Open Studios event will be held on December 6 and December 7, 2023, from 10:00 to 16:00. Located at 100 Whiting Street, Winsted, this historic mill offers visitors the chance to explore a treasure trove of artisanal creations. The beautifully decorated studios will feature pottery, woven baskets, and various other handmade items, perfect for holiday gifting.
If unable to attend the Open Studios, the Makers Shoppes at Whiting Mills will be open every Sunday through December 14, from 11:00 to 16:00, providing additional opportunities for holiday shopping.
Homes for the Holidays House Tour in Wethersfield
The Homes for the Holidays Preview Party will take place on December 5, 2023, from 17:00 to 20:30 at the Silas Deane House. Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides in Wethersfield
The Town of Wethersfield is also offering free horse-drawn carriage rides in partnership with Double M Ranch starting the weekend after Thanksgiving, from November 28 to 30. In case of inclement weather, the rides may be rescheduled to January.
