The Carthage Community Foundation (CCF) has announced the opening of its spring grant application period, beginning on March 16, 2024. Local organizations classified as 501(c)(3) or other IRS-approved entities, including civic, educational, and faith-based groups, are encouraged to apply for funding aimed at enhancing the quality of life in the Carthage area.
Funding Focus Areas and Application Process
Grant applications can be submitted online at www.cfozarks.org/applyforgrants. The deadline for completing and submitting applications is April 9, 2024, at 23:45. CCF seeks to support initiatives that address both existing and emerging community needs, focusing on four key areas: Health & Human Services, Education & Youth Services, Arts, Culture, History & Community Beautification, and Food & Nutrition.
Funding may be requested for one-time initiatives or capital and equipment purchases, with a maximum request of $10,000 per applicant. The Board is open to considering applications for operational expenses if compelling circumstances are presented.
Special Fund for Musical Arts
In addition to the general grants, CCF will also accept applications for the Vivian Leon Fund for the Musical Arts. This fund specifically supports classical music programs, emphasizing piano performance, within schools and communities in Jasper and Newton Counties. Applicants for this fund, which include 501(c)(3) organizations, schools, and colleges, can request between $1,000 and $4,000. The application deadline for this fund is also April 9, 2024.
Grant announcements are anticipated in mid-May, providing successful applicants with the resources needed to implement their projects and serve the Carthage community effectively.
