Community Mourns the Passing of Authorine Marie Boone
Authorine Marie (Dees) Boone, a beloved member of her community, passed away on October 22, 2025, in West Palm Beach, Florida. Born on May 5, 1951, in Albany, New York, she was known for her dedication to family and career, leaving behind a legacy that touched many lives.
The only daughter of the late Willie James Dees and Margaret (Dees) Sandifer, Authorine earned her Associate’s degree and built a successful career as an Executive Assistant at General Electric. Her professional life was marked by her commitment to excellence, which earned her respect and admiration from colleagues.
Authorine married the late Paul Boone, with whom she raised two daughters, Andrea and Paula, in Schenectady, New York. The family shared a close bond, fostering a nurturing environment that emphasized education and creativity. In 2010, Authorine relocated to Florida to embrace a coastal lifestyle, where she found joy in crafting—a passion that remained a significant part of her life.
The community will gather to honor Authorine’s memory at a memorial service on November 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Wilborn Temple, located at 161 Jay Street in Albany, New York. Following the service, interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery, allowing family and friends to pay their final respects.
Authorine Boone’s passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew her. Her spirit and contributions to her family and community will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
