Detroit Lakes Girls Hockey Rallies with Two Victories This Week

The Detroit Lakes girls hockey team experienced a mixed week, achieving two significant victories alongside one challenging loss. The Lakers began their week with a tough defeat against Northern Lakes, losing 6-4 on December 2, 2023. Despite an impressive start, holding a 3-0 lead after the first period, the team faced a dramatic turnaround as Northern Lakes scored four goals in the second period, leveling the game. They ultimately secured the victory with two additional goals in the third period.

Following this setback, the team traveled to the Bronco Arena on December 5, 2023, to face International Falls. The Lakers delivered an outstanding performance, earning an 11-0 shutout, marking their largest victory of the season.
