Kenny Omega Optimistic About Andrade’s Future in AEW

Kenny Omega expressed optimism regarding the future of Andrade in All Elite Wrestling (AEW), suggesting that the current challenges will eventually resolve. In an interview with SHAK Wrestling, Omega reflected on Andrade’s recent absence from the ring, noting that while he has been sidelined, he believes his return is likely.

“To see him back in AEW was a happy moment for me because I felt he really wanted to be there and do well,” Omega stated. He emphasized that Andrade’s motivation remains strong, despite recent setbacks. “I think everything will be alright. And of course, when things happen—injury or otherwise—you have to pivot. The show must go on. It’s just the way it is. It’s the nature of the beast that is professional wrestling.”

Andrade made headlines on October 1, 2023, when he made a surprising return to AEW during the Dynamite broadcast, attacking Omega and aligning himself with the Don Callis Family. However, Andrade’s presence on television diminished shortly thereafter due to a one-year no compete clause imposed by WWE, following his termination from the company.

In a recent conversation with Ariel Helwani, AEW President Tony Khan refrained from providing specific details about Andrade’s contract situation but expressed hope for future collaboration. “We look forward to working with him again whenever he is free from his contract,” Khan mentioned, indicating a desire to see Andrade back in the ring.

As the world of professional wrestling continues to evolve, the dynamics between companies like AEW and WWE remain complex. Omega’s comments highlight not only his support for Andrade but also the challenges wrestlers face when navigating contract negotiations and injuries.

The wrestling community will undoubtedly keep a close eye on Andrade’s situation in the coming months, as fans eagerly await his potential return to action.
