At Patriot Place, shopping crowds reflected the enthusiasm. Fan Lia DeMarco, who was shopping with her sister Melina DeMarco, expressed her excitement: “Holiday season bringing wins, it’s great. I know we’re spoiled, but it feels really good to say that we’re back.” Melina added, “Playoff droughts don’t last long around here, so definitely good that we’re back in the playoffs.”
Jersey Shortage Amid High Demand
Despite the excitement, fans may struggle to find Maye’s No. 10 jersey ahead of Christmas. During a recent visit by WBZ-TV, only a limited selection of youth sizes was available at the Patriots ProShop. Even with a customization station, the demand has exceeded supply, leading to shortages of jerseys featuring Maye’s number.
Fan Zach Reed spoke about the importance of having a franchise quarterback, stating, “Franchises go years and decades trying to find their franchise quarterback, and for us to get Drake Maye in here, it’s insane.” Reed, who visited the Patriots Hall of Fame with his son, added, “This year has just been absolutely incredible. Back to our old winning ways.”
The ProShop is currently awaiting a new shipment of Maye jerseys, which is expected to arrive after the new year. As Patriots fans gear up for the playoffs, the hunt for Maye’s jersey continues, underscoring the excitement surrounding the team and its promising future.
