UPDATE: Fans of Netflix’s hit series Bridgerton can now step into the enchanting world of their favorite characters, as Benedict Bridgerton’s cottage is open for visits! Following the premiere of Season 4 on January 29, 2023, the romantic backdrop where Benedict (played by Luke Thompson) and newcomer Sophie Baek (portrayed by Yerin Ha) share pivotal moments is ready for exploration.
In Episode 3, viewers are introduced to Benedict’s charming cottage, affectionately dubbed My Cottage. This spectacular estate is depicted as a cozy escape from a rainstorm, but as Sophie points out, “Cottage feels somewhat misleading.” The sprawling location features guest rooms, a library, and a stunning garden, making it a must-see for fans.
Production on the cottage scenes took place over two weeks, with Thompson describing the experience as “magical.” He shared, “It was just us two and then the housekeepers. It was a great opportunity for Yerin and me to connect as actors and characters.”
Fortunately for fans, the real-life location is Loseley Park, situated in Surrey, England, just over an hour from London. Although the estate’s home and gardens are closed for winter, they will reopen in the spring, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the Bridgerton experience.
Tickets for entry are priced at approximately $16 for the gardens and $29 for both the home and gardens. Visitors should plan to spend about four hours exploring the estate, including scenes where Benedict and Sophie fly a kite and where Sophie discovers his unfinished paintings.
For those wanting to extend their stay, Loseley Park offers overnight accommodations in the cottage, available for one night or an entire week. Rates are not published online, so potential guests are encouraged to contact Loseley Park directly for inquiries.
With the holiday season approaching, the estate also provides a festive tour for guests, priced between $21 and $27, which includes a glass of mulled wine or hot chocolate alongside a classic mince pie.
If you’re a devoted fan of Bridgerton, visiting Benedict’s cottage should top your itinerary on your next trip to England. Don’t miss out on the chance to experience the magic of this iconic filming location.
