Children Invited to Join Halloween Campfire Fun This Thursday

URGENT UPDATE: Children in Ashburnham are invited to gather for an enchanting evening of Halloween storytelling at the Stevens Memorial Library this Thursday, October 23, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Renowned storyteller Todd Goodwin will lead the “Halloween Campfire for Children,” promising an unforgettable experience filled with imagination and seasonal tales.
Parents and guardians should mark their calendars for this exciting, family-friendly event hosted by the Friends of the Stevens Memorial Library. Goodwin, a Fitchburg native with over 45 years of storytelling experience, captivates audiences with his unique blend of stories, music, and humor. He draws inspiration from his extensive background as a drama and history teacher, as well as his personal camping adventures.
“Gathering around the campfire opens up a world of imagination,” Goodwin explains. “There are no costumes or sets—just the storyteller and the audience, creating a magical atmosphere.” His performances engage children’s creativity and encourage them to explore different narratives through the power of storytelling.
As a member of Northeast Storytelling and the Fitchburg Cultural Alliance, Goodwin has shared his talent in schools, libraries, camps, and community centers across the region. His passion for storytelling shines through as he delights in the reactions of young listeners, who often become fully immersed in the tales he weaves.
This event is free, making it an accessible opportunity for families looking to celebrate the spirit of Halloween. For those interested in attending, registration is encouraged. Visit the library’s website at ashburnhamlibrary.org for more details and to secure your spot.
Don’t miss this chance to gather around the campfire with Todd Goodwin and create lasting memories this Halloween season! Share the news with friends and family so they can join in on the fun.
