Dallas Man Arrested for Allegedly Soliciting ICE Agents’ Murder

BREAKING: A 23-year-old man from Mexico, Eduardo Aguilar, has been arrested in Dallas for allegedly soliciting the murder of ICE agents through a disturbing TikTok post. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas confirmed the arrest, stating that Aguilar faces federal charges for threatening communications made online.
The shocking video, posted on October 9, featured text overlaid on monochrome images, demanding “10 dudes in Dallas with determination (guts)” who aren’t afraid to “die,” accompanied by skull emojis. The post then explicitly offered a bounty of $10,000 for each ICE agent targeted. Federal authorities acted swiftly after receiving a tip from a concerned citizen, leading to Aguilar’s arrest.
Acting U.S. Attorney Nancy E. Larson emphasized the seriousness of the situation, declaring, “Threats against our law enforcement officers are completely unacceptable.” She assured the public that any threats made against agents would be met with comprehensive investigation and prosecution.
Aguilar made his initial court appearance yesterday, where a U.S. Magistrate Judge in Dallas ordered him to remain in federal custody. If convicted, he faces a maximum prison sentence of five years. However, the criminal complaint notes that Aguilar is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
This investigation involved multiple agencies, including the Dallas Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, U.S. Marshals Service, and Homeland Security Investigations, highlighting the collaborative effort to address threats against law enforcement.
As this story develops, authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or communications. The potential implications of this case extend beyond Aguilar, raising concerns over the safety of law enforcement personnel in the area. Stay tuned for further updates on this urgent situation.
