The event took place in Hammond Hall’s Main Lounge, just hours before the team faced off against Babson in Wellesley later today.
The Falcons, who captured the championship earlier this year, were honored alongside their coaches and support staff. “It’s your tireless commitment to excellence that has brought such tremendous pride and energy to this campus,” declared Fitchburg State president Donna Hodge. She emphasized that the championship belongs to everyone involved, including families who supported the players throughout the season.
The team’s remarkable journey included a gripping triple-overtime win against No. 3 Salem State in the semifinals, following their victory over No. 5 Worcester State.
