URGENT UPDATE: The highly anticipated free indoor playground program for preschoolers is set to reopen at the Andy Murphy Neighborhood Center in Kingston, N.Y., starting on December 2, 2025. This engaging play space will be available for children ages 0-5 every Tuesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., providing a warm haven for little ones during the chilly months ahead.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to bring their toddlers and pre-kindergarten children, as adults must accompany them at all times. No registration is required—simply drop in and enjoy the fun!
“This popular program serves as an alternative option for little ones to stay warm while they play and socialize during the colder months,” said Lynsey Timbrouck, director of the city’s Parks and Recreation Department. With winter fast approaching, this initiative offers a much-needed opportunity for young children to engage in physical activity and make new friends in a safe environment.
It’s important to note that the program will be suspended if the Kingston City School District declares a two-hour delay or cancels classes due to adverse weather conditions. As the community anticipates this reopening, families should also be aware that the program will take a holiday break from December 26, 2025, to January 6, 2026. Following the break, the indoor playground will resume its regular schedule every Tuesday and Friday until March 27, 2026.
Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity for your children to play and socialize in a warm, welcoming environment. Mark your calendars for December 2nd and prepare for a season of fun at the Andy Murphy Neighborhood Center!
