Gilbert Regional Park Announces Urgent Pickleball Court Closures

UPDATE: Gilbert Regional Park is set to temporarily close its pickleball courts for a series of exciting tournaments, impacting local players as early as November 1. The Gilbert Town Hall has confirmed that courts 1-8 will be unavailable for regular play from the afternoon of November 1 until 8:00 PM on November 2, during the AZIAPL Private Tournament.

These closures are part of a busy winter schedule for pickleball enthusiasts, with several high-stakes tournaments lined up. Notably, on the evening of November 25, the courts will again be dedicated to tournament play, giving high school players a chance to engage in competitive matches.

As the holiday season approaches, players should plan accordingly, as the “Pickleball is Great Holiday Classic” will take over the courts from December 26 to December 28. For those looking to kick off the New Year with a game, the “More Bang for the Buck Tournament” will take place in early January, followed by the “2026 Winter Classic Tournament” scheduled for February 20-22.

During tournament days, the courts are expected to be bustling, operating on a first-come, first-served basis. Players are advised to participate in a court rotation system when capacity is reached. For those unable to secure a court, nearby Arbuckle Park and Arrowhead Meadows Park offer alternative options.
