This holiday season, Hamburg’s charm shines brighter than ever. Small Business Saturday offers a perfect opportunity to shop at local boutiques and restaurants while contributing to a thriving community. Shoppers can participate in a shopping passport program to win exciting prizes at participating businesses. Since its inception in 2010, consumers have spent an estimated $223 billion at small businesses during this nationwide initiative, making it a pivotal moment for local economies.
On the following weekend, December 6, Hamburg will host its inaugural Christmas in the Square from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at State Street Square, located at 222 State St.. Sponsored by Copperz Brewing Co., this event promises holiday music, visits from Santa, and family-friendly activities. Local churches and organizations will also contribute by offering crafts and entertainment for children, ensuring a heartwarming experience for all.
After the festivities at the square, families can head over to the newly renovated Hamburg Strand Theatre for a free family Christmas movie screening at 1 p.m.. This revitalization project includes upgraded seating and flooring, enhancing the viewing experience for the community.
