L.A. County Opens 140 New Vote Centers Ahead of Nov. 4 Election

UPDATE: Los Angeles County has just opened an additional 140 vote centers as part of preparations for the upcoming November 4, 2025 special election on redrawing California’s congressional districts. This brings the total number of vote centers to 251, all of which will be available for in-person voting, voter registration, and mail-in ballot returns starting Saturday, November 1, 2025.

Voters can now cast their ballots daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., ensuring everyone has access to convenient voting options. Locations such as Metro Headquarters and Millennium Biltmore Tower are among the newly opened centers, making it easier than ever to participate in this critical election.

Dean C. Logan, the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk, emphasized the importance of early voting, stating, “With all L.A. County Vote Centers open, voters have convenient options to cast their ballot early. Avoid the rush, make a plan to vote early this weekend or Monday at a location that’s convenient for you.”

Eligible voters who missed the registration deadline can still participate by completing a “conditional” voter registration at any vote center and casting their ballot. This move aims to maximize voter participation and ensure that every voice is heard in this pivotal election.

For those looking for the nearest vote center, a complete list and map are available online at locator.lavote.gov, which now features optional GPS tracking for user convenience.

The urgency of this election cannot be overstated, as the redrawing of congressional districts will have long-lasting implications for representation in California. As the election date approaches, residents are encouraged to stay informed and take action to ensure their votes count.
