Michelle Pfeiffer Stars in Urgent Holiday Comedy ‘Oh. What. Fun’

UPDATE: The official trailer for Michelle Pfeiffer’s highly anticipated holiday comedy, Oh. What. Fun, has just dropped on Prime Video, promising a festive adventure that is set to capture hearts this holiday season. The film is scheduled for release on December 3, 2025, and features a star-studded ensemble that includes Felicity Jones, Chloë Grace Moretz, and Denis Leary.

In this engaging story, Pfeiffer plays Claire Clauster, a burnt-out mom who feels overwhelmed and unappreciated during the holiday season. In a bold move, she leaves her family to pursue her own Christmas wishes, setting off an unexpected series of events that will have audiences laughing and cheering. How will her adult children cope while she’s away?

The trailer reveals Claire’s chaotic yet relatable journey as she attempts to make the holidays magical for her family, only to be left behind during a recital. In a twist of fate, she decides to crash a reality TV show taping featuring none other than Eva Longoria.

Directed by Michael Showalter, who co-wrote the script with author Chandler Baker, Oh. What. Fun is described as a “spirited holiday comedy that honors and celebrates every overworked holiday host.”

Notably, the film features an original Christmas song by pop icon Gwen Stefani, titled “Shake The Snow Globe,” which is now available for streaming on Amazon Music. Stefani, renowned for her own holiday music, adds an exciting layer to this festive offering.

As the holiday movie season heats up, Oh. What. Fun isn’t the only treat coming to Prime Video. Tyler Perry’s Finding Joy, starring Shannon Thornton, is already available, alongside the upcoming holiday rom-com Merv, featuring fan-favorites Zooey Deschanel and Charlie Cox.

This marks Pfeiffer’s first major role since her appearance in Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania in 2023. With the holidays just around the corner, this film is expected to resonate with families everywhere, capturing the essence of holiday chaos and the quest for personal joy.
