Across the nation, residents have the opportunity to participate in local take-back events, with several locations in Georgia ready to accept your unwanted medications. Here’s what you need to know:
Beaufort County:
– **Time:** 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
– **Location:** Bluffton Kroger, 27 Discovery Dr.
Law enforcement will be on-site to collect unwanted or expired pills, including liquids, gels, and patches. This event is in partnership with the Cardinal Health Foundation.
Chatham County:
– **Time:** 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
– **Location:** West Chatham YMCA, 165 Isaac G. Laroche Dr., Pooler
Residents can anonymously dispose of medications at this drive-thru site. This initiative is organized by Memorial Health Hospital, in collaboration with the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office, YMCA of Coastal Georgia, and HCA Healthcare.
Toombs County:
– **Time:** 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
– **Location:** Toombs County Sheriff’s Office, 357 NW Broad St., Suite #1, Lyons, GA
Please note that needles and liquids will not be accepted at this drop-off location.
