A highly anticipated concert featuring the multi-platinum rock band Shinedown is set to take place in central Pennsylvania this summer. The band will perform at the Giant Center in Hershey on June 6, 2024, as part of their “Dance Kid Dance Act II World Tour.” The concert is scheduled to begin at 19:00.
Shinedown, formed in Jacksonville, Florida, by lead vocalist Brent Smith, has achieved significant success since their debut album, “Leave a Whisper.” This album propelled them onto the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay charts and established their reputation in the rock music scene. Over the years, they have produced 21 number one hits and received numerous nominations for prestigious awards such as the MTV Music Video Awards and the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Earlier this year, Shinedown was originally slated to perform at Kid Rock’s “Rock the Country Festival.” However, the band withdrew from the event, citing “political reasons.” In a statement, they emphasized their commitment to unity through music, declaring, “Shinedown is everyone’s band. We feel that we have been given a platform to bring all people together through the power of music and song. Our band’s purpose is to unite, not divide.”
The band is poised to release their latest album, “EI8HT,” on May 29, 2024, just prior to the tour kick-off. Their repertoire includes popular songs such as “Second Chance,” “MONSTERS,” and “Cut the Cord,” which have resonated with audiences worldwide.
Tickets for the Hershey concert will go on sale starting February 20, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Fans can find more information and purchase tickets through the Hershey Entertainment website or on Ticketmaster.
The upcoming performance in Hershey marks another exciting chapter in Shinedown‘s storied career, further solidifying their place in the rock genre and their connection with fans across the globe.
