According to state police, initial investigations reveal that a tractor-trailer was traveling eastbound on Route 40 when it veered into the westbound lanes, colliding head-on with a Ford pickup truck. The impact caused a second head-on collision with a Chevrolet express van. Tragically, the drivers of both the tractor-trailer and the Ford pickup, along with a front seat passenger in the van, were pronounced dead at the scene.
