Urgent: Free Household Hazardous Waste Roundup in Valencia Tomorrow

UPDATE: Tomorrow, October 18, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, residents of Valencia, California, will have a golden opportunity to safely dispose of hazardous materials. The Countywide Household Hazardous & E-Waste Roundup program will take place at the College of the Canyons, located in the south parking lot at 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road.
This essential event, sponsored by Los Angeles County in collaboration with Los Angeles County Public Works and Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts, aims to protect our environment by providing residents a safe way to eliminate harmful waste. With growing concerns over environmental safety, this initiative is not just timely but crucial for the community.
Residents are encouraged to bring items such as paint, batteries, electronics, and other hazardous materials. This is a free service designed to prevent these items from ending up in landfills, ensuring they are disposed of responsibly.
The event is also supported by the cities of Santa Clarita, Lancaster, and Palmdale, emphasizing its regional importance. Local officials stress the significance of community participation in such programs to foster a cleaner and healthier environment for everyone.
Don’t miss this chance to make a positive impact! For additional details, visit the official website at www.lacsd.org/services/solid-waste/household-hazardous-waste-collection.
This urgent call to action is a reminder that each resident plays a vital role in safeguarding our environment. Make plans to participate in the roundup tomorrow, and encourage your neighbors to do the same!
