URGENT UPDATE: The Knoxville Police Department is actively investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on East Magnolia Avenue on Friday evening. Just before 8:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire and found an 18-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot of the 2300 block near Olive Street.
Despite receiving immediate medical assistance on the scene, the victim was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at UT Medical Center. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity as they continue their investigation into this tragic incident.
