Ciarán Hinds Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award by IFTA

The Irish Film & Television Academy (IFTA) has announced that renowned Irish actor Ciarán Hinds will receive the prestigious Irish Academy Award for Lifetime Achievement. This honor recognizes his exceptional contributions to both Irish and international cinema over the span of more than 50 years. Hinds, known for his work in films such as Belfast, will be celebrated during the 23rd IFTA Awards ceremony on February 20, 2024, at the Dublin Royal Convention Centre.

The ceremony will be hosted by comedian and actor Kevin McGahern, where Hinds will be surrounded by colleagues, family, and friends who have supported him throughout his distinguished career. This recognition further solidifies Hinds’ legacy as a highly respected figure in the film industry, having been nominated for an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and a BAFTA, alongside winning the IFTA award five times.
