The ongoing fallout from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal continues to impact the lives of prominent figures, including former Duke of York Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson. According to a recent report, both may never return to the United States due to significant backlash linked to their association with Epstein, as well as concerns about potential legal repercussions.
Historian Andrew Lownie, author of “Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York,” shared insights on the situation during an interview with NewsNation. He stated, “Andrew will not respond or testify in front of Congress.” Lownie further emphasized that neither Andrew nor Ferguson wishes to face arrest or be compelled to provide testimony regarding their friendship with Epstein.
The revelations come in the wake of allegations made by Virginia Giuffre, who tragically died by suicide in April 2023. In her posthumous memoir, “Nobody’s Girl,” Giuffre claimed that Epstein forced her to engage in sexual acts with Andrew on three occasions, including when she was just 17 years old. Lownie indicated that the number of victims associated with Andrew could be increasing, stating, “We’re going to get other names of people who were trafficked to Andrew, particularly girls younger than Virginia.”
Long-Lasting Connections
Lownie also highlighted the depth of the relationship between Andrew, Ferguson, and Epstein, suggesting that their friendship began earlier and lasted longer than previously understood. “Their friendship with Epstein was much friendlier than people imagine,” he remarked. Ferguson, who divorced Andrew in 1996, has publicly acknowledged borrowing $15,000 from Epstein. However, Lownie believes that the actual amount could be as high as $2 million. He explained, “He felt it was a good investment as [the Yorks] would introduce him to other royals.”
As the investigation into Epstein’s network continues, the implications for Andrew and Ferguson remain uncertain. With mounting pressure and the potential for more victims to come forward, the former royal couple’s presence in the United States seems increasingly unlikely.
The couple has not publicly commented on these latest developments. As the public continues to scrutinize their past associations, the long-term consequences of their ties to Epstein may shape their futures.
