Between 6 a.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Friday, the Meridian Police made several notable arrests. Incidents included a case of willful trespassing involving a homeless individual, and stalking incidents reported at 5808 Cherokee Rd.. The police also responded to a disturbing case of simple assault and assault on a minor at 4016 27th St.
In addition to these arrests, the Meridian Police reported serious incidents including a robbery at the 1500 block of 8th Avenue at 7:33 PM on December 2 and a commercial burglary at 2200 block of Highway 39 North on the morning of December 4.
Meanwhile, the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department announced a series of arrests during the same timeframe, highlighting a growing concern for public safety. Key arrests included individuals charged with aggravated assault, armed robbery, and multiple drug-related offenses.
Authorities also reported thefts and disturbances, including identity theft on Courthouse Blvd. and multiple petit larceny incidents on Pine Springs Rd. and McCraw Rd..
